Burnley – Newcastle PREDICTION (30.10.2017)

Comfortably installed in the middle of the leaderboard, Burnley and Newcastle close the tenth round of the English Premier League on Monday, October 30, 2017/2018. The duel, which could allow the winner to come close to qualifying for European tournaments, is scheduled to start at 6 pm (GMT) at the Turf Moor stadium in Burnley.

Burnley’s recent performance

Burnley had a ninth-round stoppage of their undefeated eight-game series (three wins and five draws). The sequence, which includes matches for the English Premier League and the English League Cup, was broken by Manchester City, the Premier League leader. At home, the Manchester Blues scored 3-0.
The result, which was expected, made Burnley fall on the tournament leaderboard. With 13 points (three wins, four draws and two losses), he was in eighth place at the start of the tenth round with three points behind Arsenal, which closed the European championship block.
This battle, however, is a “bonus.” Burnley’s main goal is to stay in the elite division of English football. In this range, it opened five points in the comparison with the first team in the relegation zone. The post at the end of the ninth round was Everton’s.
Playing at home, however, has not been the boost Burnley hoped for. In four matches at Turf Moor, the team won only once, drawn twice and suffered a loss. He scored only two goals. The only consolation for the poor use of the attack was the good performance of the defense, which was only leaked twice.
With no commitments for the FA Cup, where he was eliminated in the third round, coach Sean Dyche had the entire week to seek offensive solutions. For the start of this Monday, he waits for the medical department to give the final word on goalkeeper Tom Heaton (four matches in the 2017/2018 English League season); and strikers Jonathan Walters (two games, no goal) and Nahki Wells (no performances) who are in injury treatment.

The current form of Newcastle

Traditional in the elite of English football and with trophies in its gallery, Newcastle has passed in recent years some of the worst moments of its history. He was relegated to the Championship, the Second Division, and returned this season to the Premier League.
Although he was hesitant at the start, the team, which is headed by experienced Spanish coach Rafa Benitez, former Real Madrid, shows that he can have bigger ambitions than simply avoiding a new fall.
In the ninth round, they beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at home to 14 points (four wins, two draws and three defeats) to seventh place. To take a step forward in this top-of-the-table standings, you need to improve performance outside the home. At the end of the ninth round, Newcastle had only the eleventh best visiting campaign with four (one win, one draw and two defeats) plus 12 points.
For the match against Burnley, Newcastle has two medical doubts. Defenders Paul Dummet (a 2017/2018 English League game, no goal) and Massadio Haidara (without performances) are in the ward.
The defense has been the girl from the eyes of Rafa Benitez’s team. It was leaked only eight times. It is the fourth best in the Premier League, being beaten only by the performance of giants Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham. The attack, however, has not shone. With ten goals conceded is the worst among the top seven.

History of the matches Burnley vs Newcastle
The teams had their paths crossed only in two opportunities. It was in the 2014/2015 season of the Premier League. There was a draw in both games.

PREDICTION: DRAW @ 3.30
