Like every year, the weekly France Football has published the ranking of the twenty highest paid players of the 2019-20 season. The figure takes into account the gross salary and advertising revenues within the season by adding prizes and bonuses from the previous season, while revenues from digital activities and social networks are excluded. The podium has not changed, with Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar in the top three. The Argentine is the player who made the most money with 131 million, of which 89.6 the result of the engagement with Barcelona and 38 from sponsorship contracts. The Portuguese earns 118 with 57.7 deriving from the contract with Juventus and 60 sponsorships, making in this respect almost double the turnover compared to the rival. The Brazilian collected 95 million euros, of which 48.9 million euros and 44 advertising contracts. Messi and Ronaldo are the only ones who earn more than 100 million a season and CR7 is the only one in the ranking to play in the Italian championship. Three of the top eleven highest paid are Barcelona players, who considering Piqué has four on the list and confirms the team in which they earn the most. Real Madrid have two of the top six, while to find the first Premier League player you have to go down to Raheem Sterling of Manchester City in eighth place. This is the complete ranking.
